Connect Hyperliquid

Hyperliquid uses an API wallet: a delegated key authorized by your main account that can place orders but cannot withdraw. MyLiquidBot needs your main account address (where your funds are) and the API wallet private key. Your main wallet's private key and seed phrase are never needed.

Wallet-created account required

Hyperliquid accounts created with email or social login are not compatible. Use an account created with your own wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, etc.).

Quick Connect (recommended)

In Add connection choose Hyperliquid and keep Quick Connect selected. Press Connect browser wallet or WalletConnect and sign with the main wallet of your Hyperliquid account: MyLiquidBot creates the API wallet, Hyperliquid links it to your account and the wizard moves on to Activate trading. No funds move, no gas is paid and the key can never withdraw. It lasts about 180 days; renew it in time from Manage → API wallet with another signature. To create it yourself, choose Paste API key and follow parts 1 and 2.

Part 1 — Create the API wallet on Hyperliquid

1

Open Hyperliquid with your main wallet

Go to app.hyperliquid.xyz, connect the wallet that owns the account and holds the funds, and make sure there is USDC deposited.

2

Open the API page and generate an API wallet

Open the API page from the Hyperliquid menu, give the API wallet a name, generate it and authorize it with your main wallet. Hyperliquid shows the API wallet's private key only once: copy it to a password manager.

3

Keep the validity in mind

If Hyperliquid asks for a validity period, choose one that suits you and remember it. When the API wallet expires, the connection stops trading and you must create a new one and edit the connection.

Part 2 — Add the connection in MyLiquidBot

Go to Account → Exchanges → Add connection, choose Hyperliquid, confirm that the account was created with your own wallet, and fill in:

Field in MyLiquidBotWhat to enter
Connection nameAny label, at least 3 characters, e.g. Hyperliquid Main.
Wallet AddressYour main account address (0x…) — the wallet that holds the funds on Hyperliquid. Not the API wallet address.
Hyperliquid API Wallet - Private KeyThe private key shown once when you created the API wallet (64 hexadecimal characters, with or without 0x).
Vault Address (Optional)Only if you trade a Hyperliquid vault you manage. Most users leave it empty.
API URL (Optional)Leave empty.

Press Save & verify. MyLiquidBot checks that the key is a valid API wallet authorized for that account.

Part 3 — Activate trading (Builder Fee)

1

Connect the main wallet

In the activation step (or later in Manage → Trading activation) press Connect wallet and choose the browser wallet or WalletConnect. Use the same main wallet saved in the connection.

2

Press Activate trading and sign

Your wallet asks for a signature. It is not a transaction, costs no gas, moves no funds and never allows withdrawals. Hyperliquid only accepts it if the account already has a deposit.

3

Check the status

When the panel shows Trading active, bots and manual orders can use the connection. If it shows Update required, activate again. If a synchronization is pending, open Advanced → Retry synchronization.

Leverage and margin

You do not need to set leverage beforehand on Hyperliquid. The bot creators and the Trade ticket sync the leverage and Cross/Isolated mode you choose for each market.
