Manual Trade: entry plan by margin or risk
An entry plan prepares a new market position with an SL and optional TP. It is available on Hyperliquid, Lighter, Lighter on Robinhood Chain, Aster and Bitunix, with an active account selected, no bot reservation and no existing position on that account/pair. It is not a way to add to an existing position.
Choose the SL on the chart
Right-click or long-press below the current price for a long plan, or above it for a short plan, and choose the plan action. The clicked price becomes the SL; the entry remains Market, not a limit order at the clicked price.
Choose Margin or Risk
Margin is the default: choose the collateral to use and the ticket leverage determines approximate position value. Risk chooses estimated loss if the SL is reached; the distance to the SL determines size. A tighter SL can therefore produce a much larger position.
Choose $ or % and review the outcome
Percent is of the selected account's equity, not its available balance or all your connected accounts combined. If equity is unavailable, use $. Review size, margin, position value, estimated loss at SL, gain at TP and R:R. Amounts are rounded to market precision and must fit minimum size and available margin.
Adjust the levels
Type or drag the SL/TP. Removing the TP keeps an SL-only plan. Move the panel by its header; double-click the header to reset its position. On narrow screens it moves vertically. Editing or dragging the plan sends nothing.
Send plan, then verify entry and protection
Read and confirm Send plan. The live price can change during review. On Bitunix, SL/TP is attached to the entry. On the other supported exchanges, entry is sent first and protection follows for the confirmed filled amount. Those operations are not guaranteed to succeed together.
With $100 margin at 5×, position value is about $500. An SL 2% from entry implies about $10 price loss, before costs. Conversely, $10 risk with that same 2% SL implies about $500 position value and $100 margin at 5×. Changing leverage changes margin, not the price loss of a fixed-size position.
Use maximum reduces an over-sized plan to what the available-margin check permits; it is not a recommendation to use the whole account. A high-risk warning appears when the estimated SL loss exceeds 5% of account equity. Passing validation does not make the plan safe.
It excludes fees, funding and slippage. Gaps, liquidation or execution failure can cause a larger loss. If the entry fills but SL/TP fails, or the fill is not confirmed, a live position may be unprotected. Read the result, check the exchange and set protection there if necessary. Keep this page open until you have verified protection; never assume entry success means SL success.
