Managing bots: edit, add investment, pause, close and delete
Every bot has a detail page with its status, orders, position and results. Action names differ by strategy, and some actions only stop automation while others close the position at market. Always read the confirmation text before accepting.
Waiting to start means the bot is still waiting for its configured start condition; it does not prove a fault or a filled entry. Review that condition and order status before creating another bot or increasing capital.
What each action does
| Bot | Stops automation, position stays open | Closes the position at market | Delete |
|---|---|---|---|
| TDCA | Pause: cancels open TP orders, keeps the collected position. | Power off with sell: stops the bot and sells the open position at market. | Delete does not close anything on the exchange; close or power off first. |
| Martingale / GridMart | Power off: position and orders stay on the exchange. | Power off and sell: cancels all orders and sells the full position at market. | Removes the bot record; position/orders may remain if not closed first. |
| GridMart Classic | Pause bot: cancels bot orders, keeps the position. | Power off and sell (long) / Power off and buy (short). | Delete local never touches exchange positions or orders. |
| GridBot Classic | Pause: cancels bot orders, keeps the position. | Close position / Power off and close: cancels bot orders and sends a reduce-only market order. | Only when there is no position, order or pending request left. |
| Neutral Grid | — | Power off: cancels bot orders and then closes the bot exposure. | Only when there is no net exposure, no active orders and no unprocessed fills. |
| QFL Simple | Pause: stops orchestration only. | Shut down: cancels orders and sends a reduce-only market close for the recorded inventory, then pauses. | Delete local does not close positions or orders. |
| Market Maker | Pause: cancels bid, ask and TP orders, keeps inventory. | Close position: cancels bot orders and closes the bot inventory with a reduce-only market order. | Delete local is not a close; use Close position first. |
| Market Maker V2 | Pause: cancels bot orders without closing. | Unload inventory: closes the bot inventory at market and resumes quoting. Stop and delete: closes the remaining position and deletes the bot. | Via Stop and delete. |
| Delta Neutral Arbitrage | Stop / Cancel a session: stops further work, does not close acquired inventory. | Open a close session (normal or quick close). | Delete removes the bot record only; it sends no cancel or close. |
These exchanges net all positions of the same symbol into one. A market close from a bot can also reduce manual exposure on that symbol. Avoid mixing manual trades and bots on the same symbol and account. MyLiquidBot blocks manual trading on bot-reserved pairs; pausing the bot does not lift that block.
Other actions
Edit
Changes the configuration. With an open position some fields are locked. In GridBot Classic you must Pause first to save, and only the entry-side bound, grid count, investment and SL/TP can change while a position is open.
Add investment
TDCA: increases the amount per buy. Martingale/GridMart: increases the safety budget for future orders. GridMart and GridMart Classic also offer Add to position, which buys now with a market order and recalculates the TP.
Resume
Restarts automation and re-places orders from the current position. If cancellations are still pending, wait until they finish.
Repair (Market Maker)
Aligns the bot with the exchange: adopts, cancels or recreates protective orders and retries recoverable operations. It does not close the position.
Force delete
Only for a bot stuck while closing. It removes the bot and its local records and sends no cancel or close to the exchange. Check and clean the exchange manually afterwards.
Share
Creates a share link or PnL image of the bot. It does not expose keys or allow control of the bot.
From Trade
The Bots tab in Trade lists the bots of the open pair with the same controls as their page (details, edit in a side panel, pause/resume, power off or close, delete) and the same confirmations.
Confirm changes when editing
When you save an edit, the form summarizes the fields you changed so you can confirm them before they apply.
Open the exchange and confirm there is no unexpected position or open order left. Do not repeat a close action several times in a row while the first one is still processing.
