Manual Trade: chart tools and position actions
The candle chart supports timeframes, zoom, scrolling, drawing tools and indicators. Drawings are saved per exchange and market in this browser. Returning from another tab keeps the view and updates the candles. Older history loads where the exchange supplies it; some markets have limited or no history.
Read the chart before acting
| Line or label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Position | Side, size, exchange entry price and live unrealized PnL for the selected account/pair. Bot and mixed positions may also appear; showing them does not give permission to close them manually. |
| BE | Real breakeven reference when available; it is separate from the exchange entry price. |
| Manual and bot orders | Pending orders at their limit or trigger prices. The label includes size when available. A line is not proof of a fill. |
| TP / SL | Take profit is green; stop loss is red. Manual-position labels show estimated PnL at the trigger when available. Triggering does not guarantee that price. |
| LIQ | Liquidation price reported by the exchange, not an estimate invented by the chart. A proximity warning is not a liquidation-prevention mechanism. |
| Crosshair | Shows estimated position or plan PnL at the pointed price when enough data is available. This is a scenario, not a future fill or profit guarantee. |
Chart toolbar
Hide bot orders
The bot button hides bot order lines and chips, their break-even and the buy/sell marks, so you can study a clean chart. Positions, manual orders with their TP/SL, LIQ, alerts and liquidation layers stay visible. The choice is saved in this browser.
Full screen
The button next to Liquidations expands the chart to the whole screen; confirmations still appear on top. Leave with Esc or the same button.
Squeeze Momentum
An indicator in the Indicators menu. The green/red histogram measures momentum (bright while it grows, faded while it weakens) and the dots on the zero line show whether a squeeze is on. You can adjust BB length, KC length and KC multiplier.
Who sees the liquidation map
The liquidation layers, the order book, Whales and Smart Money work when you are signed in and have at least one active exchange connection. Without one, their buttons and tabs still appear, but only show a notice with a link to connect an exchange. Without an account, the public map shows a reduced version for BTC and ETH.
Liquidation map
The BTC and ETH liquidation maps are public: real Hyperliquid and Lighter positions and the walls of their order books, updated every 5 minutes.
Three chart toolbar buttons open the liquidation map: Heatmap (levels to come), Whales and Liquidations (already executed). Each row has a switch: green means on, and the toolbar button shows a green dot while any of its layers is on. These are informational layers: they place no orders and move nothing. Each layer is a different thing, so keep them apart:
| Layer | What it is | How it looks |
|---|---|---|
| Estimated liquidations | Where leveraged positions could be liquidated, modelled from the public open interest of Binance, Bybit, OKX and Hyperliquid and common leverage levels. A model, not real positions. The label carries ~ and the age (≤24h, ≤3d…) of most of that money. | Gradient band, green (light) to red (heaviest). |
| On-chain liquidations | Real public Hyperliquid and Lighter positions with the liquidation price each exchange reports. The percentage next to the name is the share of that exchange's open interest being tracked. | Band with thin edges and an HL or Lighter prefix. |
| On-chain heatmap | Every public Hyperliquid and Lighter position, not only whales, candle by candle: where money was waiting to be liquidated at each moment and where it waits now, right of the last candle. Each candle shows how things stood when it closed. History is kept 7 days at 5-minute detail and 180 days at hourly detail; scrolling the chart back loads more of it, up to that limit. History starts on the day it was switched on, so it is short at first. It uses the distance and exchanges of the preset. | Coloured cells candle by candle, green (little money) to red (a lot); nearly empty ones barely show. |
| Whales | The largest public positions, each at its own liquidation price. The Whales tab in Activity lists them with a link to the account's public profile (Hypurrscan for Hyperliquid, LighterPulse for Lighter): positions, leverage, liquidation price and account value. | Thin dashed line. |
| Smart Money entries | Large positions opened or increased in the last 3 days by public Hyperliquid and Lighter wallets, plus buys and sells of positions whose earlier size is unknown. The minimum depends on the size of each coin (millions on BTC, tens of thousands on a small alt) and can be halved or doubled. Smart Money only keeps wallets with positive results that are not high-frequency, plus known traders and funds. Hover to see the wallet, amount and price; click to open its profile. | Whale under the candles with a green mark (long) or over them with a red mark (short), larger for larger amounts. |
| Smart Money closes | Partial reductions and full closes of large positions in the last 3 days, with the same minimum as the entries. Hover to see the wallet, amount, price, entry price, realised profit or loss (when the entry is known) and the position left; click to open its profile. | Money with wings over the candles with a red mark when a long is reduced, under them with a green mark when a short is, larger for larger amounts. |
| Skulls | Liquidations that already happened in the last 24 hours (Binance, Bybit, Hyperliquid, Lighter), grouped per candle. They mark the past, not a level to come. Only those above the chosen minimum amount are shown; Auto scales with the coin. | 💀 below the candle (longs liquidated) or above it (shorts), with a red or green dash. |
| Profile | The whole distribution level by level, behind the grouped zones. | Bars on the right edge. |
- Refresh. Data renews every minute while the tab is visible; the menu shows how old what you see is. No page reload needed. If the source stops, the layers disappear rather than show stale data.
- When price trades through a level, that level is removed on the next refresh. A band still there after a sweep is money opened after the sweep.
- Bands, whales and profile show the levels of now: they move with the last candle and leave the screen when you look at older candles. To see how things stood before, use the heatmap.
- Presets. Scalp (last 24 h, ±3% of price), Intraday (3 days, ±12%) and Swing (21 days, ±25%). Customize lets you pick period, distance, grouping, leverage levels and exchanges.
- Pop-up alerts. When on, a large liquidation of the open coin shows for a few seconds over the chart as it refreshes.
- Coins. The level layers cover the coins with enough activity on Hyperliquid and Lighter, and the list grows on its own as a coin gains activity. Skulls are marked on any coin traded there. If the open coin has no data, the menu says so.
- Hover a band, line, skull or heatmap cell for the details.
- Which whales are in a zone. Click an on-chain band or a whale line to see the large positions that would be liquidated there, with their size, liquidation price and entry; the zone's other positions are summed up in one line. Tap a whale to open its Smart Money profile or, if it has none, its card with a link to Hypurrscan or LighterPulse.
Order book walls
The Order book button on the chart toolbar shows where large limit orders are waiting: buys under the price in green, sells over it in red. It brings together Hyperliquid, Lighter and the largest centralized exchanges (CEX, their books added together). It is a visual guide: it places no orders and moves nothing.
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Line and band | The line marks the price of the wall's largest known order and the band, the prices holding most of its money. The nearest wall on each side is drawn stronger. A dashed line with the tag New marks a wall that has been there for less than a minute. |
| Label | Price, money and distance from the current price, for example 79,450 · $466M · -1.5% · CEX 72%. CEX is the part of the wall on the centralized exchanges. |
| Arrows ▲ ▼ | Walls outside the visible part of the chart: sells at the top, buys at the bottom. |
| Bids % · Asks % | How the money in orders near the price (±2%) splits between buyers and sellers. It shows pressure; it does not predict where the price will go. |
| Walls tab | In Activity: buys and sells from the nearest to the farthest, with size, distance and how long they have been there. Tap one to highlight its wall on the chart. |
- Only lasting money counts. Walls refresh every 15 seconds and an order has to stay those whole 15 seconds to count, so orders pulled within seconds make no wall. A wall less than a minute old is tagged New because it may still be pulled. The time shown in the details and in the list is how long that money has been in that zone.
- Who is behind it. Click a Hyperliquid or Lighter wall to see the known wallets with orders there or whose orders were filled there. CEX orders are anonymous.
- Filters. Look for walls up to sets the distance from the price (±3%, ±6%, ±12% or ±25%) and the exchange buttons choose which books are added. Book profile shows all the liquidity as bars on the right edge.
- Coins. The most active coins and the ones users open are followed; a new coin takes 1–2 minutes to show data. If a coin has no CEX data, you only see Hyperliquid and Lighter. On large coins the CEX books far from the price may be incomplete.
- A wall is not a guarantee. It can be pulled or filled at any time, and the price can go through it.
Smart Money
The Smart Money tab under Activity, next to Whales, shows the largest public positions of the open coin on Hyperliquid and Lighter and what their wallets have done. It is public information: it creates no orders, copies no trades and is not a recommendation.
- Positions. The coin's largest positions with their size, leverage, unrealized PnL, entry price and liquidation price. Below them come the ones that were among the largest about 24 hours ago and have since been reduced or closed.
- Hedged. When a wallet is short and also holds the same coin in spot or staking, the short carries a Hedged tag with the share it covers. That short is a hedge (usually to earn funding), not a bet on a fall: what the short loses, the holding gains, and the other way round. Hover the tag to see the amount and where the wallet stands net; the wallet profile details it under Spot and staking, and the summary above adds up the Hedged short.
- 24h change. Each position is compared with a snapshot from about 24 hours ago: increased, reduced, closed, flipped side, or a new position (not among the largest then). Until a full day of history exists, the comparison uses the oldest snapshot available and says so.
- Trades. How many trades the wallet made in that coin over the last 24 hours, and the latest one: opened, added, reduced, closed or flipped. The Trades view lists the most recent large trades. When it is not known whether the wallet already held a position, the trade only shows as a buy or a sell.
- 30d PnL. The wallet's result over the last 30 days and in total, as its exchange's public leaderboard reports it. If the wallet has a public name on that leaderboard, it is shown instead of the address.
- Search and filter. Search a wallet by its name or address and filter by side (Long or Short), by exchange, Changed (only positions that changed in the last 24 h), Profitable (in profit over 30 days and in total), Hide HFT (hides high-frequency wallets, market makers and similar, tagged
HFT, whose position is usually inventory rather than a view) and Following. Click a column header to sort by it; click again to reverse the order. Your filters are remembered. - Wallet profile. Click a row to open the profile without leaving the page: account value, PnL, volume, long and short exposure, leverage, every position in any coin and its trades of the last 24 hours. From there you can copy the address or open it on Hypurrscan or LighterPulse.
- Follow wallets. Mark a wallet with ☆ to follow it and filter by it. Followed wallets are kept in this browser.
- Full page. Expand opens Smart Money in a new tab, with the coin list and your followed wallets on the side. The page address keeps the coin and the open wallet, so you can come back to it or share it.
- Refresh. The list renews every minute while it is open. A trade shows up one or two minutes after it executes.
A wallet may be hedged on another exchange, close without notice or lose. Past results do not guarantee future ones. Use it as context, not as a buy or sell order.
Chart gestures
- Right-click on the candle area, or long-press on touch, to open the price menu. Choosing buy/sell at that price fills the ticket; it does not send an order.
- Drag an eligible manual order line to propose a new limit/trigger price, then review the confirmation. If the new price is past the current price, a warning comes first: confirming executes the order now at market (a limit is canceled and what remains of it is sent as a market order; a TP/SL closes its amount with a reduce-only market order). Changing an order can involve cancellation and replacement; verify the final order.
- Right-click a manual order label or line to access Cancel order. The existing cancellation confirmation still applies.
- Drag a manual position line or its TP/SL handle with a mouse to propose protection for the full position, where supported. TP goes on the profit side of the current price and SL on the loss side; reverse the directions for a short. If the position already has one from MyLiquidBot, the new one replaces it: it is placed first and the current one is canceled after it (useful after adding to the position). To only change its price, drag its own line.
- Click X on an eligible manual position to open the normal close dialog. It does not close immediately. Bot and mixed positions are not manually closable from the chart.
Quick actions on a manual position
- SL to break-even moves or creates a stop at the exchange entry price only when the position is in profit. This is not necessarily the real BE after costs, and fees/slippage can still produce a loss.
- Close 50% prepares the close dialog with half the position. Review the actual amount and confirm.
- Reverse requests a market order of twice the current size on the other side, aiming to close the old position and open the opposite one at the same size. It incurs execution costs and can fill partly. Existing TP/SL do not protect the new direction: cancel/check them and set new protection.
Chart position TP/SL, entry plans, SL to breakeven and Reverse are available on Hyperliquid, Lighter, Lighter on Robinhood Chain, Aster, Bitunix, Pacifica, Ondo Perps, Arcus and TxFlow. To reverse, Aster and Bitunix must report One-way; Hedge or unknown mode is not eligible. RISEx and Papertrade do not currently have these chart position-protection/plan shortcuts. This does not mean manual trading is unavailable there: use the ticket and the position controls that are actually shown.
Manual TP/SL uses position-level stops: one TP and one SL per market. A new stop of the same type replaces the previous one. Do not treat them as independent stops for several separate entries.
Price alerts are not stop orders
On supported perpetual markets, use the chart price menu to create an alert, drag its line to move and re-arm it, or remove it. Chart alerts are available on Hyperliquid, Lighter, Lighter on Robinhood Chain and Aster USDT markets. They notify you; they do not open, close or protect a position. Trailing stop and OCO are not currently available as chart execution features.
A drawing, alert, preview or profitable PnL label is not a stop-loss order. Check that the actual TP/SL was accepted and covers the intended size. Keep access to the exchange if the app, connection or execution fails.
