Delta Neutral Arbitrage Bot

Practical Farming guide

Purpose and when to use it

Opens two opposite positions on the same coin, for example long spot and short perpetual, or long on one exchange and short on another, so price moves mostly cancel out while you collect funding or a price gap. Fills at different moments, funding that changes sign, different mark prices and separate liquidations can still cause losses.

Setup and field meanings

Start from Compare your exchanges to load a pair, or set it up by hand: both accounts, the coin on each exchange, spot or perpetual and the direction of each leg, total investment, how it is split between the legs, leverage and margin mode per leg, and the opening gap. A spot leg is always long at 1x; two perpetual legs must face opposite directions. Leverage and margin changes made while editing are applied on the exchange.

Start and execution

Creating the bot also starts the opening: it waits until the price gap reaches your target, or opens at once if you choose Open now. If you added a start condition, it waits for that too. Both legs open in steps and the bot keeps them balanced, but the two exchanges never fill at exactly the same moment. The bot page has separate buttons to open, close and stop.

A concrete example

With a 1:1 split, 1x on two perpetual legs and 200 USD in total, each leg gets 100 USD: long on A and short on B. Higher or different leverage changes the size of each position; the same capital does not always mean the same size. Check the filled amount of both legs before treating the pair as hedged.

Margin and fees

Capital, split, market type and leverage set the size of each leg. Count the fees of opening and closing both legs, the MyLiquidBot fee where it applies, funding and slippage. Funding estimates can change sign. Profit on one account does not top up the margin of the other: each one can be liquidated on its own.

Statuses, recovery and stopping

Opening and Closing mean the bot is working on it, not that both legs are filled: read the filled and pending amount of each leg. Stop / Cancel ends the current opening or closing but keeps the positions already opened; to exit, use Close at target or Quick Close and then check both exchanges. While positions are open, the bot checks both exchanges every few minutes and warns you if a leg disappears, the legs drift apart or a leg gets close to liquidation.

Limits and market matching

Only coins listed on both selected exchanges, with a supported market type, can be paired. Watch for one-sided fills, stale prices, exchange outages and separate liquidations. Changing one leg by hand breaks the balance.

Delta Neutral Arbitrage opens two opposite legs so that one side's price movement is intended to offset the other. It can pair a long spot position with a short perpetual position, or use opposite perpetual positions. The objective is to reduce directional exposure while seeking a favorable funding and entry-price difference. It is available to every registered user; no special plan feature is required.

Delta-neutral does not mean risk-free

The legs may fill at different times or prices. Funding rates can reverse, one venue can delay or reject an order, and fees, slippage, mark-price differences or liquidation on one leg can exceed the expected return.

Compare your connected exchanges

The guided creator starts with Compare your exchanges. It shows funding combinations across the exchanges you have connected, with exchange and coin filters. Choosing a row preloads accounts, markets and each leg’s direction; you can still change them before reviewing capital and creating the bot. The display is a comparison, not an execution or guaranteed funding return. If no combination appears, check your connections and filters, or configure manually.

Sort the comparison

Press the 24h volume, Indicative gap or Funding APR headers to sort highest first; press again to reverse. Unknown values go last. Pos means you already hold a position on that pair and Bot that a bot already uses it.

Net 7d

Average funding (7 days, else 24 hours, else current) minus the estimated fees of opening and closing both positions held for 7 days; ≈ h is the funding time needed to pay those fees. It includes the MyLiquidBot fee you would pay on Delta Neutral, with the promotion if one runs; slippage and the gap are not included.

Backtest with your size

In the configuration, the backtest applies your size to the recorded hours (up to 7 days): funding received, open and close fees, net result and time to cover fees. It is a calculation on the past, not a forecast.

How it works

Two opposite legs

Leg A and Leg B use active exchange connections and opposite exposure. With spot + perpetual, spot stays long and the perpetual leg stays short. With perpetual + perpetual, the sides must be opposite.

Capital and ratios

Total capital is divided by the selected Leg A and Leg B ratios. The default 1:1 ratio aims for balanced notionals. Perpetual leverage changes required margin; it does not increase the configured capital allocation by itself.

Entry gap

The target gap is the minimum entry condition between both legs; the default is 0%. Raise it to wait for a more favorable difference, or edit it on the detail page. Open now starts without waiting for that gap, but does not guarantee immediate fills or bypass minimums, balance, liquidity or risk controls. Review the current gap, funding and opening fees before creating.

Execution sessions

Creating the bot saves the configuration and starts the opening session. It may wait for the entry gap before sending orders. If starting fails, the bot may exist without an opening session running: check its status before retrying. Follow both legs, confirmed fills and imbalance; created or started does not mean both positions are filled.

Closing

A normal close session waits for the configured close gap; a quick close prioritizes exiting. Monitor the session until both legs are terminal and confirm the real positions on both exchanges.

Performance

Read trading PnL, funding PnL, fees, open inventory and both exchange positions together. A positive funding estimate is not a guaranteed total profit.

Available exchanges

Each leg can use Hyperliquid, Lighter, Lighter on Robinhood Chain, Aster, Bitunix, Pacifica, Ondo Perps, RISEx, Arcus or TxFlow (Ondo Perps in Cross only). Spot legs exist only on Hyperliquid and Aster. On Lighter and Lighter on Robinhood Chain any account type works (Standard, Plus or Premium).

Fees

Each leg opens and closes with market orders, so it pays the exchange taker fee on every fill. Delta Neutral has its own MyLiquidBot fee; see Fees.

Delta Neutral promotion: no MyLiquidBot fee for now. Exchange fees still apply.

Position watch

While positions are open, the bot checks both exchanges every few minutes and warns you, at most once every 6 hours per reason, if the positions disappear, one leg is missing, the exposure exceeds the allowed imbalance or a perpetual leg is less than 15% from its liquidation price. It only warns: it does not close anything.

Delete

The Delete button is on the bot page and only appears when no session is active. Delete removes the bot; it does not close positions, so close them first.

Recommended first use

1

Prepare both connections

Use active connections with enough balance in the market used by each leg; spot and perpetual balances are not interchangeable. Review quantity, notional, margin, leverage and Cross/Isolated separately. An Isolated-only market cannot open in Cross. Check each market’s leverage limits and order minimums; not every exchange supports every combination.

2

Review the screener and preview

Use the Trading Agent screener as an initial filter, then review current gap, funding direction, opening fees and liquidity. A high displayed funding rate can change before the next payment.

3

Start small and balanced

Use a conservative total and 1:1 ratios for the first session. Keep free margin on both accounts so one leg can withstand price movement while the other catches up.

4

Monitor both venues

Check session progress in MyLiquidBot and confirm positions directly on both exchanges. If you manually alter one leg, the pair is no longer reliably neutral.

Stop / Cancel is not a position close

Stopping an active session only stops further work in that session. It does not automatically close inventory already acquired. Use the close action and verify both exchange positions before considering the strategy finished.
